Jeevan Job Thomas is an Indian author and screenplay writer.[2]

Early life

Jeevan Job Thomas was born on 20 October 1979 at Vengola village in Ernakulam district in Kerala. [3] He holds a PhD in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University.[4] His dissertation focused on nano magnetism and Ferrite nanostructures. [5] [6] [7]

Literary career

Jeevan Job Thomas is a regular contributor to leading Malayalam magazines as an essayist since 2006. His book Rathi Rahasyam published in 2013 is an in depth study on human sexuality which interconnects the knowledge on sexuality from different areas such as anthropology, evolutionary psychology and cultural history.[8] His first novel Nidra Moshanam is a psychological thriller published in 2015.[9] [10] The nonfiction book Maranathinte Ayiram Mukhangal published in 2016 explores the idea of death from cell death to the end of human civilization by converging political history, cultural philosophy, cellular biology and evolutionary theory.[11][12] In 2014, based on the murder of an old lady in Kozhikode he penned an article on how the system makes an innocent youth a criminal.[13] [14] Movie director Madhupal read the article and asked Jeevan Job Thomas to pen a screenplay based on it. [15] [16] The movie Oru Kuprasidha Payyan hit the screens on 2018. Movie got rave reviews all over with special mention to the screenplay.[17] [18]
