Jeff Hale (January 5, 1923 - February 2015) was an American animator.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Hale was born in Margate, England in 1923. He first started drawing in his teens while in the hospital for an extended period of time.[2]
He studied at the Royal College of Art. in London.[2]
Career[edit]
Hale’s first job in animation was at the W.M. Larkins studio in England. There Hale trained under German director-designer Peter Sachs.[2]
In 1955, he started his own commercial studio Biographic Films with Bob Godfrey and Keith Learne as partners.[2]
He created several shorts for Sesame Street, including Pinball Number Count.[2]
He directed the 1971 animated short film Thank You Mask Man.[2]
