Jeff Loughead is an American racing driver with the Crown Racing team currently racing in the SCCA. Loughead has won a SCCA National Championships in 2004 and also won the SCCA President's Cup the same year.[1] He is one of five drivers in the Formula Vee class to win the President's Cup.

Racing career[edit]

Jeff Loughead started racing a Lotus Europa in SCCA solo competition. He then soon moved to a Formula Vee. He made his SCCA National Championship Runoffs debut at Road Atlanta in a Predator PC1. He started 26th and finished 10th.[2] Four years later at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course he achieved his first podium finishing second, 3.567 behind Bill Noble in a Citation 92C. [3] In 2004, he won the SCCA National Championship Runoffs in a Vortech CR04. [4]. Loughead has been on the podium of a SCCA National Championship Runoffs a total of three times in his SCCA career. [5] He also holds the track record at Autobahn Country Club South Circuit. [6].
