Jeffrey Burch is an American Periodontist and Implant dentist. He is the founder of Featherstone Periodontics & Implant Dentistry and Burch Dental.[1]
Life and career[edit]
Education[edit]
Dr. Burch went to Willowbrook High School and graduated in 1992. He studied Biochemistry at Eastern Illinois University. In 2003, He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, Illinois.[2] He completed his periodontal residency in 2006 and received a Certificate Degree in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry from Saint Louis University.
Military[edit]
Burch served as an infantry soldier for the U.S. Army, stationed in both Colorado and South Korea from 1992-1995. He was later discharged honorably to pursue his academic goals. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars since 1995.[3]
Dentistry[edit]
Burch started his practice as a periodontist and implant dentist and is known for using cutting age grafting techniques.[4] He founded the "Featherstone Seminars", an organization that trains and educate dentists and other medical students within the Northern Illinois.[5]
Burch has given lectures on various areas of dentistry including laser periodontal treatment and dental implant therapies. He has also written and published several articles on similar aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Burch is a professional member of American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Board of Periodontology and other similar associations.
Philanthropy[edit]
In 2001, Dr. Burch offered dental treatment to less privileged people in Nicaragua. He has offered pediatric dental care to less privileged kids of Urban St. Louis. He has initiated programs that help veterans in the Rockford area to have access to dental treatment. He participates in yearly dental mission trip to Jamaica.[6]
Personal life[edit]
Dr. Burch was raised in Villa Park, Illinois. He is the youngest of four children in his family. He is married to his wife Dr. Leann and they have two kids.
