Maria Jegarajan (born 28 August), known by his stage name Jega, is an Indian film actor currently working in Tamil cinema industry. He made his debut in Gnana Kirukkan (2014)[1] scripted and directed by Ilayadevan. Jega is currently working on a project titled Ananda Pournami [2] and Aasi.[3] Besides acting in movies, he also runs a drama school by the name Natchathirapattarai.

Early life and family

Jega was born in Tiruchirappalli to John Britto, a retired director in the department of sericulture, and Mary Sucila, a joint chief inspector of factories in Trichy. He attended Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School and was raised in Tiruchirappalli. He later moved to Chennai to do his undergraduate degree B.E. in Sathyabama University.[4]

Career

Jega made his cinematic debut in 2014 with the successful Gnana Kirukkan portraying the role of the protagonist, Veera Perumal. Since the release, he has received movie offers for projects titled Ananda Pournami[2] and Aasi[3] and is presently working on them.
