The JenkinsEar2K is the name given the soccer local derby between the two Major League Soccer (MLS) teams based in the South Atlantic States, Orlando City SC and Atlanta United FC.[1] The term Jenkins' Ear is a reference to battles fought between the British and Spanish Empires in the colonies of Florida and Georgia during the War of Jenkins' Ear.[citation needed] First played in 2017, the rivalry between the two started in 2014 in Charleston, South Carolina during an incident between Orlando City supporters and Terminus Legion.[2][3][4] While the Terminus Legion were viewing a soccer match, supporters of Orlando City ransacked the belongings of Terminus Legion, and stole a club banner. Half a year later, while Atlanta United office personnel were visiting the Sporting Kansas City club, an Atlanta United scarf was placed over an Orlando City scarf on a league display angering the Iron Lion Firm supporters group.[5]
