Jennifer Locke is an Idahoan politician and political activist in Idaho. She is known for being Chairman of the Idaho Republican Party and being a Trump elector for Idaho in the 2016 United States presidential election.[1]
Trump Elector[edit]
Locke was chosen by the IDGOP to be one of the four electors for Idaho choosing Trump. She was reported to have received 200 letters in the post and over 6,000 emails urging her to vote otherwise.[2]. Citing a quote from Trump concerning changing foreign policy, Locke expressed commitment to voting for Trump in the Electoral College.
IDGOP Chair[edit]
In accordance with the Idaho Republican Rules of the Convention, Locke was elected First Vice Chair of the Idaho Republican Party on June 30, 2018[3]. Upon the resignation of Jonathan Parker, she became IDGOP Chair, and remained Chair until Raúl Labrador was elected at the Summer 2019 Idaho Republican State Central Committee Meeting.
