Jesse Mitchell Clasen (born October 29, 1985), is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He is known for fronting indie rock band Harvard and is currently one half of indie pop duo Foreign Air.

Clasen co-founded prog rock band Defending Brooklyn in 2004 with peers from Appalachian State University, releasing two EPs and an album. The band disbanded sometime before 2008, when Clasen then joined HRVRD (previously Harvard), which released two EPs and two albums and performed until 2014. During this time with HRVRD, Clasen and his brother Patrick released an EP in 2010 under the name Native Trash. Clasen also wrote and produced an album in 2011 under the name The Bear Romantic. Over the years, Clasen has contributed numerous production, instrumentation, and vocal credits to a variety of artists.

After opening a show for U.S. Royalty in the late 2000s, Clasen would be introduced to and stayed in touch with the band's guitarist, Jacob Michael.[4] The pair produced their first songs together while Michael was still a part of his band, releasing singles under the name Foreign Air. After the breakup of Harvard in 2014 and the subsequent breakup of U.S. Royalty in 2017, both musicians devoted more time to Foreign Air and have since released two EPs and two full-length albums.
