Jesse Mermell (born 1979 or 1980)[1] is an American politician from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is a candidate for Massachusetts's 4th congressional district in the 2020 elections.
Early life and education
Mermell was born and raised in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Her father, Bob, owned WDNH-FM.[2][3] She graduated from Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pennsylvania in 1998, where she served as student body president. She graduated from Boston College in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in political science.[1]
Career
After graduating from college, Mermell remained in Massachusetts and worked in public policy. She was elected selectwoman for Brookline, Massachusetts from May 2007, and served through January 2013. She then served as the communications director for Deval Patrick and vice president of the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.[1]
Mermell was maid of honor at Ayanna Pressley's wedding.[4]
