Jiang Shangqing (Chinese: 江上青; April 1911 – July 1939) was a Chinese communist revolutionary and uncle of Jiang Zemin, former general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In 1927, influenced by the revolutionary thoughts of Li Dazhao and Chen Duxiu, he joined the Communist Youth League of China. From 1927 to 1930, Jiang was arrested twice for participating in student movements. In August 1938, under the leadership of the Anhui Provincial Working Committee of the CCP, Jiang joined a work corps of the Anhui Provincial anti-Japanese Popular Mobilization Committee and carried out anti-Japanese propaganda in the Dabie Mountains.[1] Jiang was killed in a 1939 skirmish.[2]
