Jim Weiss (born April 25, 1965) is the Founder and CEO of W2O Group, a marketing and communications firm focused on healthcare and technology. [1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Jim Weiss was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania on April 25, 1965 and received his education from Syracuse University.[3]

Career[edit]

Jim Weiss has over 30 years of experience in healthcare and corporate communications and has been involved in nearly every aspect of brand, product and organizational communications. Prior to W2O, he worked in various roles including medical device start-up Eartport, Sanofi and Genentech.[1]

In 2001, Jim turned his vision into reality by starting W2O which has now grown to nearly 700 employees across over a dozen offices.[4] In 2016, Jim partnered with a private equity firm to completed three acquisitions – Sentient, Marketeching and Pure Communications.[5]

In 2012, the Newhouse School of Public Relations at Syracuse University opened the Center for Social Commerce in partnership with W2O. The center was made possible by Jim and his wife, Audra Weiss, who are he sponsors.[6]

Jim is appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Cancer Research Institute where he serves on the Marketing Subcommittee.[7] He also serves on the LAGRANT Foundation (TLF) Board.[8]
