Jimmy Jan (born c. June 1999 – c. June 2000)[lower-alpha 1] is an Australian social media personality and model. He is best known for his eponymous TikTok and Instagram accounts, where he shares his life as a paraplegic. In August 2021, while skiing in Perisher, Australia, he suffered a spinal cord injury and became paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. Since 2022, he has been a spokesmodel for Bonds Australia and Menulog.
Early life and injury
He was born and raised in Australia. His father is American, and his sister is popular YouTuber Robbin Jan. He studied medicine at the University of Newcastle in Australia. In August 2021, while skiing, Jan suffered a spinal cord injury that left him a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair.[2]
Social media
Jan is best known for his TikTok[3] and Instagram[1] accounts, where he has respectively amassed over 650 thousand and 50 thousand followers; with his TikTok accruing over 9 million total video likes.
