Jeong Jin-sol (Hangul: 정진솔; born June 13, 1997), better known by her stage name JinSoul (Hangul: 진솔), is a South Korean singer and rapper. She is a member of South Korean girl group Loona, and its sub-unit Loona Odd Eye Circle. She debuted on June 13, 2017, as a member and subsequently released her solo single album JinSoul on June 26, 2017.
Career[edit]
Pre-debut[edit]
JinSoul begin her training as a student at Born Star Training Centre in 2014.[1] In September 2014, she passed her audition for DSP Media and became a trainee there.[2] In an interview with Dazed, JinSoul said "she was given multiple opportunities through street castings but none followed through" and "she was contacted through Instagram by her current agency (Polaris-BlockBerry), and became a trainee there.[3] She would later transfer to BlockBerry Creative and train to become a member of Loona.[citation needed]
2017–present: Debut in Loona and Odd Eye Circle debut[edit]
On June 13, 2017, JinSoul was officially revealed as the seventh member of Loona.[citation needed]
On July 28, 2017, JinSoul had a cameo in the music video for Choerry's Love Cherry Motion.[citation needed] She also released a song with Choerry entitled "Puzzle", which was included in Choerry's debut single.[citation needed] JinSoul was featured in a small role on seasons 1 and 2 of the web drama Woomanna as a university student.[citation needed]
On August 29, 2017, JinSoul was revealed as a member of Loona's second sub unit, Odd Eye Circle, the group debuted with Girl Front on September 21.[citation needed]
From February to March, 2018, JinSoul starred alongside fellow Odd Eye Circle members Kim Lip and Choerry in the third series of Woomanna.[citation needed] She played as a university dance major who is cheated on by her boyfriend of 6 years.[citation needed]
On March 30, 2018, she was featured in Olivia Hye's Egoist, where she was in charge of "the rap part" of the song.[citation needed]
On August 20, 2018, JinSoul debuted as a member of the Loona.[citation needed] She and her members released the mini album [+ +] along with the title track "Hi High".[citation needed]
On April 15, 2020, JinSoul released her first OST "As Time Goes", for the 2020 k-drama Welcome.[citation needed]
On September 3, 2021, she appeared in a song called "Not Friends" with Heejin, Kim Lip and Yves.[citation needed]
