JioMeet, is an Indian video-communication service developed by the India-based digital services company Jio Platforms, which is a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited.[6]

    Features[edit]

JioMeet is currently available for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Web.[7] It is noted for its simple UI and usability, which is similar to Zoom app (except icons).[8] Features include one-on-one meetings, group video conferences, screen sharing, and the ability to record meetings (currently only in desktop versions).

    Meeting[edit]

The use of software is free for video conferences of up to 100 participants at once, with a maximum time limit of 24 hours.[9] The conference/meeting participants don't need to download the app if they are using Google Chrome or Firefox; they can click on invite link to join from the browser.

    Security[edit]

JioMeet security features include password protected meetings, user authentication, waiting rooms, locking of meetings, disabling participant screen sharing, random meeting IDs, and the ability for the host to disallow guests from joining a meeting without sign-in and disclosing identity.[10][11] The application promises video conference encryption, though its not clear if its end-to-end.[12]
