Joseph Clifford Lydic (born February 20, 1979 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is a former professional baseball player. A standout third baseman at the University of Pittsburgh, Lydic was drafted in the seventh round, 217th overall, by the Houston Astros in the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft.[1]
At the time of his selection, Lydic was the highest drafted Panther since Chris Jelic was chosen in the second round by the Kansas City Royals in 1985.[2]
