Michael Terrance McDade[1] (born May 8, 1989) is an American professional baseball first baseman who is a free agent.

McDade was drafted by the Toronto in the 6th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft out of Silverado High School. He played 39 games in 2007 with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays where he batted .221 with 1 home run and 17 RBI.[1] In 2008, McDade played 112 games split between the Auburn Doubledays and the Lansing Lugnuts, and batted a combined .224 with 5 home runs and 46 RBI.[1] The following year, he played a full season in Lansing and improved his results, batting .277 with 16 home runs and 57 RBI.[1] In 2010, McDade played 128 games for the Dunedin Blue Jays and hit .267 with 21 home runs and 64 RBI.[1]

McDade played the 2011 season with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats, batting .281 with 16 home runs and 74 RBI in 125 games. He was added to the Blue Jays 40 man roster on November 18, 2011.[2] McDade started the 2012 season with the New Hampshire, and was later promoted to the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s. In a combined 118 games, he hit .285 with 17 home runs and 65 RBI. McDade was designated for assignment on November 20, 2012.[3] He was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Indians on November 30,[4] and started the 2013 season with the Triple-A Columbus Clippers. He was later claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox and optioned to the Triple-A Charlotte Knights.[5] In 2013, McDade batted .250 with 10 home runs and 53 RBI.[1]

He signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on March 14, 2014,[6] and was assigned to Triple-A Buffalo Bisons. McDade was reassigned to Double-A New Hampshire on April 3, before the minor league season began. He was promoted to Buffalo on July 11 when Dan Johnson was promoted to the Blue Jays. McDade batted .242 in 85 games in 2014, and hit 7 home runs and 36 RBI.[1]
