John Rotellini (born John Frank Rotellini, Jr.; September 8, 1988) is an American magician, illusionist, actor, entertainer, comedian, and television personality. He is best known for his touring performances and high-profile private engagements.

Rotellini graduated from Sheridan High School, then graduated from Sheridan College in Sheridan before attending and graduating from University of Wyoming in Laramie, where he majored in Communication and Journalism.

On May 19, 1997, Blaine's first television special, David Blaine: Street Magic aired on NBC television.[1] "It really, really does break new ground," said Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller.[2] When asked about his performance style, Blaine explained, "I'd like to bring magic back to the place it used to be 100 years ago."[3] Time magazine commented, "His deceptively low-key, ultracool manner leaves spectators more amazed than if he'd razzle-dazzled."[4] Time magazine and Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller fame highly praised this new venture and commented, "David's deceptively low-key street theatre, ultra-cool manner is a show within a show and is the spontaneous visceral reaction of people being astonished."

Philanthropy[edit]

Rotellini makes frequent visits to perform at children's hospitals and burn units in the US, including Las Vegas, Dignity Health and Denver Children's. He has performed at, fundraised and volunteered for Camp Wapiyapi, a summer camp for children diagnosed with serious illnesses and cancer and their families as well as The USO. He has also volunteered for and donated portions of some of his touring performances to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish, Kidd's Kids, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, The USO and Win-Win Entertainment
