Jon Booras (born December 17, 1982) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He last played with MAC Budapest of the MOL Liga. He is currently an Assistant GM and coach with the Decatur Blaze of the United States Premier Hockey League.[1]
During the 2010–11 season he was voted the most valuable player of the Bloomington Blaze in fan balloting.[2] He finished the 2014–15 ECHL campaign tallying 63 points, good for 30th in the league.
Booras was the third leading scorer in the 2015–16 MOL Liga campaign, scoring 35 goals for DVTK Jegesmedvék. His 68 points were tied for fourth in the league. He led all players with 19 points in the playoffs to lead DVTK Jegesmedvék to their second straight MOL Liga championship. Booras was named the league's postseason MVP.[3] After starting the 2016–17 season in Poland, Booras returned to the MOL Liga with MAC Budapest and won his second straight postseason MVP award despite losing to his former DVTK team in the finals[4]
