Jonah Cruz Manzano (born 11 September 1985) is an Australian-Filipino aspiring independent singer-songwriter.[1] He started pursuing music after losing employment in the tourism industry due to the pandemic, where he had worked for 13 years. Inspired by the pandemic, he focused on writing songs. Jonah produced, recorded and released his original songs in 2020, including 'The One Who Owns Your Heart', 'Cry Out in My Heart' and 'I Stall'. Apart from releasing his original songs, he also produced some cover songs which were released in the same year. He performed outdoors since the easing of Sydney COVID-19 restrictions. He attended a music workshop and from there had an idea on how to become a sound engineer himself at JMC Academy in Sydney. The tourism industry is one of the greatly affected sectors when the pandemic hit, and he admits that although it was a difficult time, he was still inspired to write original songs. In previous years, Jonah was part of Soul Good, along with experienced musician Christian Joseph, and Fifth Cycle performed at Ivory Lounge hosted by Nojon Entertainment[2]
