John "Jonesy" Jones[lower-alpha 1] is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists of the 2017 video game Fortnite Battle Royale by Epic Games.
Concept and creation
Early 3D concept renders for Jones showed him with a blonde militaresque crew/buzz cut hairstyle.[1]
Troy Baker provides the voice of the character,[2] with his voice lines debuting during the Device event from Chapter 2: Season 2.
In popular culture
Jones would later make a brief cameo appearance in a 2019 episode of the Netflix animated series, Carmen Sandiego,[3] as well as being mentioned, alongside the location, Salty Springs, in the lyrics to Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's upcoming song, Unlock.[4]
