Jordan Hattar is an American activist, journalist, and humanitarian.[1] Following the outbreak of the Syrian Civil War, Hattar travelled to Zaatari refugee camp in 2012, serving as a volunteer and freelance journalist.[2] Mentored by activist Carl Wilkens, Hattar founded the NGO Help4Refugees to support the education and housing of the camp's inhabitants,[3] later embarking on an international speaking tour to draw attention to the crisis.[4]

A native of Templeton, California, Hattar studied International Relations and Politics at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.[5]
Personal Life
Hattar's mentor is activist Carl Wilkens.[6] Hattar is the mentor of activist H.D. Wright.[7]
