Nate Howard
Nate Howard (born July 5, 1991), is an professional speaker, poet and activist. Howard landed on the front page of LA Times for sparking a movement against racial profiling at USC. He has also wrote and recorded poetry for artist Ty Dolla Sign.[1][2] In 2016, Howard was named to NBCBLK's inaugural list for top African Americans making history age 28 and younger.[3]

In 2013, Howard received a Bachelor of Arts (Communication; Entrepreneurship, Music Industry) from the University of Southern California, Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.[4]
USC and racial profiling[edit]
In 2013, Howard organized a house party at USC, attended mostly by African-American students, that was broken up by "almost 80 officers" in riot gear as well as a helicopter after receiving noise complaints. Six students were arrested.[5] Following the incident, about 100?students, "mostly black and Latino, some holding signs that read, "We are scholars not criminals.""[6] Howard claimed a nearby party, "primarily attended by white USC students" was not shut down., [7][8][9]
