The son of an artist Thomas M.J, Joseph started his career at esteemed MPC, Bangalore. He started his career as a matchmove artist. His exceptional skills helped him to be part of the Techanim training group at MPC. After excelling in this training, he continued to work as a Technical Animator and again showcased his unprecedented skills in his work.

Joseph Thomas M. was born to artist Thomas M.J. and programmer Daisy Thomas. He studied in Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar, Karnataka. He received his bachelor's degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
