Joshua Beckley is a semi-amateur low-stakes poker player and former grocery store and retail worker[2] most known for finishing second in the 2015 $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event (Event #68) ($4,470,896).[2][3][4]
Early life and education
Raised in the Marlton section of Evesham Township, New Jersey, Beckley graduated from Cherokee High School.[5]
He earned an associate degree from Rowan College at Burlington County and later attended Drexel University, where he majored in mechanical engineering before dropping out to play poker.[2]
$25,000 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Roller
Although mostly playing lower stakes since his 7-digit score, Beckley finished fourth in the nosebleed event ($25,000 buy-in) at the 2016 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for $439,560.[6]
Career earnings
As of July 2024, Beckley's total live tournament winnings are almost $5,400,000.[1]
