Josué Erazo Torres (born April 7, 1996) is a Puerto Rican-American basketball player for the Gallitos de Rio Piedras of the Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria de Puerto Rico (LAI).
High school career[edit]
Erazo attended Colegio Santa Rosa Superior. He finished his senior season averaging points, assists and steals per game.
Erazo participated on the 2012 NBA America camp 2012.
Also Erazo participated in the 2014 3x3 at Russia, Moscow, as well as in the 2018 Vieques World Tour.
Erazo and his team won the silver medal at Washington Hop Up 3x3.
College career[edit]
Erazo began his college basketball career in NCAA Division II – Gallitos. As a freshman, he helped the team win the Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria de Puerto Rico LAI 2016 Tournament Champion. Erazo was named the Most Improved Player on the 2017-18 season for the Gallitos of the UPR. On his sophomore year with the Gallitos he averaged points, assists, rebounds and steals in minutes per game on the unbeatable (10-0) regular season. He led his team to "back-to-back" championships.
International career[edit]
Erazo also represents and brought home the gold medal for Puerto Rico at the international level, having played for his home country in the 2011 FIBA Under-16 Centro Basket averaging points, rebounds, assists and steals in contest. He then represented Puerto Rico at the 2013 Jakarta, Indonesia Under-18 Championship averaging points, rebounds and assist per game in contests. Erazo also played and brought the gold home in the 2018 FIBA Centroamericanos as the starting small forward averaging points, assists, rebounds and steals in five contests.
