Ante Gospić (born August 25, 1990 in Zadar, Croatia ) is a Croatian professional basketball player. He currently plays for BC Gorica in Croatia at the power forward position.
Early Years[edit]
Gospić is born in 1990, in Zadar, Croatia.
He started developing his passion for basketball in 2000. In school of basketball Zadar - Prvi Koš under supervision of famous Croatian basketball coaches Umberto Piasevoli and Ivo Pulanić.
After developing his basketball player skills he moved to play for bigger clubs in his hometown of Zadar where he played for KK Borik Puntamika and KK Zadar.
Career in USA[edit]
After finished high school in Croatia, Ante continued his education in United States, where he started to build his professional basketball career.
First he played for Zion Lutheran Highschool, but shortly he switched to Polk State Junior College where he stayed for two years. From there he moved to Flagler University NCAA II from Saint Augustine, USA
where he achived great results. Ante dominated in last university season as strong centre which gave him strong reputation as great player in American college basketball. In first season on Flagler, Gospić achieved 11,6 Point with 6,8 Jumps, while on his last season he progressed to 18,2 points and 9,8 Jumps along with 21 double- double result. Those excellent results put Gospić in to second five NCAA II league that season.
Career in Europe[edit]
When he finished education in United States, Ante returned to Europe in 2013. where he signed a contract for Basketball club Clavijo Logrono from Spain, where he played for season 2013/2014. He was the first Croatian to play for this club. After that season Ante signed new contract for BC Horsens from Denmark where he played in season 2014./2015. After season in BC Horsens in Denmark Gospić moved to Croatia where he spent three years playing for Croatian clubs KK Zabok and KK Cibona, after that he started season 2018./2019. for BC Steaua in Romania, but soon he cancelled the contract and returned to Croatia.
Career in Croatia[edit]
In 2015. Ante decided to return to Croatia where he signed for KK Zabok, where he played short period of time. Same year he got opportunity and signed a new contract from KK Cibona
from Zagreb, Croatia where he stayed till the end of season 2017./2018. For season 2018./2019. he started playing for BC Steaua in Romania, but soon he cancelled the contract and starts to play for
BC Vros Osijek, There he showed as quality, strong and experienced player who is famous for huge energy which helps the team achieve great results.
Gospić started new season 2019./2020. for Basketball Club Gorica, Croatia; where he currently plays on power forward position.
