The Journal of Applied Dental and Medical Sciences is a quarterly peer-reviewed medical journal that covers all aspects of dentistry.[1][2] It is published by Giiridih JOADMS in India.[3] The editor-in-chief is Dr. Manish Goutam,[4] executive editor is Dr. Madhavi Singh and Dr. Hemant Gadge is consultant editor .[5]
History[edit]
The journal was established in 2015 by Dr. Manish Goutam and he is the founding editor of the journal. Dr. Manish Goutam started this journal with a vision to promote research work in dental colleges in India especially at post graduation level. Journal has an advisory board which includes eminent personalities like Dr. Mahesh Verma , Dr. Anil Kohli and others.[6] Journal comprises of editorial board members from each dental specialty.[5] A team of reviewer board members from each dental specialty is dedicated for reviewing of articles which includes national as well as international researchers.Journal has Undergraduate and Post Graduate representatives to promote the awareness among dental students at both levels.[7]This academic venture received a note of appreciation from Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan.[8]
Founding Editor[edit]
Dr. Manish Goutam is the founding editor of the journal.He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Peoples College of Dental Sciences, Barkatullah University in 2013 and Post Graduation in Prosthodontics from Rishiraj college of Dental Sciences, Barkatullah University in 2016. Then after he joined as Faculty in Department of Prosthodontics at Awadh Dental College and hospital, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and presently working in Department of Prosthodontics at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dr. Manish Goutam has research work published in Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and many others.[9][10] and authored a book Geriatric Nutrition Role of Prosthodontist.[11]
Executive Editor[edit]
Dr. Madhavi Singh is the executive editor of the journal.She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Peoples College of Dental Sciences, Barkatullah University in 2013 and Post Graduation in Periodontology from Peoples Dental Academy, Peoples University in 2016. She is presently working in Department of Periodontology as Associate Professor at Awadh Dental College and Hospital, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.[12] She has various research publications in reputed journals.[13]

Dr. Hemant Gadge is the consultant editor of the journal.

The journal publishes original research, reviews, case reports and editorials.
