Jovago is an online travel agency that was launched in 2013 by German Internet startup accelerator Rocket Internet.[1]

It is sometimes presented as a clone of the travel website Expedia.[2]

In July 2015, Jovago’s Inventory reaches 25,000 hotels in Africa and 2,000 hotels in Pakistan.[3]

In Africa, Jovago is owned by Africa Internet Group (AIG), a leading internet group in Africa which also owns other African online companies such as Jumia, Kaymu, Hellofood and Easy Taxi.

In March 2013, Jovago began its Africa operations in 2013 with establishment of its Lagos offices. In August 2013, Jovago launches its website in Nigeria. Shortly after the startup of the business in Nigeria, Jovago launched operations in East Africa with the Opening of the East African office in Nairobi.[4]

In March 2014, Jovago opened the West African office at Senegal.[5][6]

Jovago began operations in Asia in April 2014, beginning with the establishment of offices in Pakistan. Jovago became the first international booking website to be launched in Pakistan.[7][not in citation given]

Its IT team is based in Porto while its marketing board is located in Paris.[8]
