Juan Diaz Bohorquez,(also known as Juan DiazB) (Cali, 1981) is an Colombian film director, screenwriter, narrative designer and visual artist.[1]

Diaz Bohorquez has work over a decade in the development of a new holistic creative process. Since 2009 he is the European Director of the World Building Institute[2], founded and directed by Alex McDowell. Working together with McDowell, they have developed new methods and holistic processes, working at the convergence of design, science and storytelling. Diaz Bohorquez, world building integrated principles for holistic processes are known as "Atlas".

He has been an advocate of interdisciplinary and collaborative practices and has curated world building events and workshops in different events and Institutions as the Berlinale Talents[3] of the Berlinale, FMX[4] and VRSciFest[5][6].

Awards[edit]

He has been awarded for work in different media. In 2007 won the Jury Award of the Fernando Botero Prize for his photographic project Catapixia [8], and was invited to the Berlinale Talents[9]. In 2009 won one of the Berlin Today Award grants of the Berlinale Talent Campus, to produce his short film By Night, that was shown in Berlinale 2010[10]. Rojo Red, Somos Calentura and Torpor have received production and writing grants from the FDC Colombian national film fund.[11]. He won a Cannes Golden Lions in 2017 for his illustration work through Latina Studio, for Kiwi Portraits completed, [12] [13], as well as D&AD Awards 2018, Yellow Pencil and Silver Clio Awards. He has been included 2 times, in 2016 and 2018 in the "Luerzers Int'L Archive 200 Best Illustrators worldwide"
