Lee Ju-hyeon (Hangul: 이주현; born April 8, 2004), better known mononymously as Juhyeon, is a South Korean singer. She is a former participant of the idol survival shows The Unit and Dancing High. She later debuted as a member of the girl group Lightsum on June 10, 2021.
Early life
Juhyeon was born on April 8, 2004, in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea. While young, she attended Boseong Girls' Middle School. She joined Cube Entertainment through an audition in January 2014.
Career
2017–2020: The Unit and Dancing High
In 2017, she participated in KBS2's reality survival show The Unit, representing Cube Entertainment. However, she was eliminated in episode 14 of UNI+ G after ranking 25th place.[1]
In 2018, she joined KBS2's reality survival show, Dancing High. However, she was eventually eliminated in the second episode.[citation needed]
2021–present: Debut with Lightsum
On April 19, 2021, it was announced that Juhyeon would be debuting as the leader, main dancer and lead vocalist of Cube Entertainment's new girl group, Lightsum.[2] The group officially debuted with the single album "Vanilla" on June 10.[3]
