Song Yuqi (born September 23, 1999), better known mononymously as Yuqi, is a Chinese singer based in South Korea and is signed to Cube Entertainment. She is currently part of the Korean girl group (G)I-DLE, which debuted in 2018.
Career
In 2015, she attended the Cube Star World Audition Beijing Station,[1] performing music from CLC and Deng Ziqi. [2]
In June 2017, she participated in a promotional video for Rising Star Cosmetics along with Minnie and Shuhua, future members of (G)I-DLE.[3][4]
From April 2018, she appeared in short videos for Dingo Music, as well as Miyeon and Minnie.[5]
On April 8, 2018, Yuqi was revealed as an upcoming member of Cube Entertainment's new girl group, and on May 2, 2018 she debuted as a member.
