Julian Perez (Born may 20, 1982) in (Valencia, Spain) is a DJ and Electronic music producer and the founder of Fathers & Sons Productions and Girada Unlimited record label's.

Background and career[edit]

Julian Perez had his first approach to electronic music around the mid 90’s, heavily influenced mostly by the sound of the underground house and Techno electronic scene coming out of US, UK and Northwestern Europe's Techno, EBM and New Beat.

He released his first record in 2010 and two years after founded with a friend Fathers & Sons Productions, a strictly vinyl-only record label based in Ibiza, Spain. A worldwide tour followed with label showcases in more than twelve different countries in the first year. Other releases folowed on record labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Raum..Musik, Rawax, Subwax Bcn and Cure Music, among others.

Fathers & Sons Productions number twelve closed a chapter in 2016 with his first solo 2x12” album Solemnity.[1]. The new chapter starts in 2023, a continuation of the label six years after.

In 2017, he launched his proyect Girada Unlimited, released the tenth release of the label comes as Julian’s second 2x12" album Break-Even right after a series of nine vinyl records by Julian himself, alongside other producers.[2]

Julian has performed in major international festivals such as Amsterdam Dance Event, Outline Festival in Moscow, Sunwaves Festival in Romania, Epizode Festival in Vietnam, The BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen; And hosting his own label showcases during Sónar off week in Barcelona, Kazantip Festival in Crimea, Winter Music Conference in Miami and in some of the essential underground clubs worldwide such as Rex Club in Paris, Fabric in London, Womb in Tokyo and Robert Johnson in Offenbach.

He was nominated as best breakthrough artist in 2012[3], best Dj of 2013[4] by Vicious Music Awards and on the best newcomer category by DJ Awards in 2016.[5]

Julian has also been a regular at Underground Ibiza club in San Rafael, Ibiza; hosting his own nights over the summer season. He's been invited frequently to Richie Hawtin's ENTER. at Space Ibiza and to Sven Väth's Cocoon Ibiza, tINI And The Gang, FUSE at Sankeys Ibiza, among others.[6]
