Adebola Jumoke Raji (born March 4, 1983)[1] is a Nigerian Fashion designer. She is the Founder of Teekay House of Fashion which was listed among Top fashion design brands in Nigeria.[2] She emerged Most Creative Designer of the Year at the ELOY Awards, Best Designer of the Year at the City People Awards and was also awarded Creative Designer of the Year by Miss Ideal Nigeria.[3][4]
Background and education
Jumoke Raji was born in Ibadan, Oyo State. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan. Her academic foundation is said to have laid the groundwork for her success in the fashion industry.[5]
Career
Raji Founded Teekay house of Fashion in 2015, she started as a small, passion-driven venture and has so far grown it into a major brand in Nigeria's fashion industry. The brand's signature lies in its handcrafted Ankara designs and embellished which has earned her the title of "Queen of Embellishment" from City People magazine. She is the personal stylist to Nollywood actresses Mercy Johnson, Iyabo Ojo, Juliet Ibrahim, Eniola Ajao, Faithia Williams and singer Yemi Alade[6]
Personal life
She is married to Engr. Ahmed Raji and they have 3 children together.[7]
