Critical reception[edit]

Some have described the film as a "knockoff" of the Disney The Jungle Book (1967 film). In fact, an article in Cartoon Brew labeled this version of Jungle Book as a mockbuster. [1] Both the Disney version and the Jetlag version, however, are based on the 1894 same book by Rudyard Kipling.
