Justen Ericksen

Justen Mark Ericksen (born January 24, 1976) is a lawyer and entrepreneur.[1] Ericksen co-founded both Daily Bread [2] and Food Insurance[3] and has worked as an executive since inception. He has played a key role in establishing relationships with employees, vendors, advertisers and other partners. As President and CEO, Ericksen is responsible for establishing the direction and company growth strategy moving forward.

Education[edit]

Ericksen received his Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Economics and Business Management and later received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He was awarded multiple scholarships during his undergraduate and graduate studies. During law school he served as Editor and Business Manager of the school's Law Review. While in law school, Ericksen was given awards for receiving the top score in several of his classes. Ericksen is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Utah and Nevada. Upon graduation, Ericksen worked as an associate attorney in Las Vegas focusing primarily in business litigation.

Early career[edit]

Justen started work at Ellsworth, Moody, and Bennion. Chtd in 2004. He worked there until 2006 when he left the firm to start an emergency preparedness company.

Career at Daily Bread[edit]

Justen left his job as an attorney to co-found Daily Bread. Both Daily Bread and FoodInsurance.com have experienced rapid growth since formation. In 2010 Daily Bread was recognized among the "Emerging Eight" category by Utah Business Magazine and in 2011 as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Utah.[4] In 2011, Ericksen was named among the "Forty Under 40," also by Utah Business Magazine.[5]
