Justin Evan Melnick (born October 5, 1980) is an American television actor, war photographer, and police officer. He is known for his role as Special Warfare Operator Brock Reynolds on CBS's series Seal Team.[1]
Early Life[edit]
Born in New York City, Melnick graduated from the White Mountain School in New Hampshire in 1998. After high school, Melnick attended the University Of Denver.[2]
Career[edit]
Since 2005, Melnick has had careers in several different fields. After withdrawing from the university, Melnick initially worked as a restauranteur and nightclub promoter[3] in New York City, Los Angeles, and Paris.[2] Upon leaving nightlife and foodservice, Melnick worked as a freelance war photographer in Kabul, Afghanistan where he was embedded at Camp Phoenix with United States Army soldiers from New York-based Company D, 2nd Battalion,108th Infantry.[4][5] After returning from the Middle East, Melnick settled in Daleville, Indiana where he became a police officer with the Daleville Police Department.[5]
In the summer of 2017, Melnick and his K-9 unit, Dita The Hair Missile, were cast as recurring characters on the weekly military drama Seal Team.[6][7]
