Juvenile Justice Committee (Georgia House)

The House Juvenile Justice Committee, formerly known as Children and Youth Committee, is a 27 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice chairman, a secretary, and 24 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to evaluate legislation over juvenile related issues throughout the state.[1]

Scope and jurisdiction[edit]

The House Juvenile Justice Committee was recreated during the 2013 legislative session and is responsible for all legislative measures relating to Georgia's system of juvenile justice and any related issues.[1]
