Dr. Jyoti Jayant Gogte (born Jyoti Devali Rao on 26 May 1956; officially 26 March 1956)[1] is an Indian author, most notable for her 2014 reference textbook Start Up & New Venture Management.[2]
Early life and family[edit]
Gogte was born on 26 May 1956, to the Rao family. Her family officially changed her birth month from May to March to adjust for the academic year. She married Jayant Gogte, brother of Dilip Dandekar's first wife, and the couple had two daughters.[1] Her husband was also a cousin to the wife of Dnyaneshwar Agashe.[3] She is also a niece-in-law to Balkrishna Gogte.[3][4]
Career[edit]
Gogte matriculated with a PhD in Finance from the University of Pune.[5] A former president of the Women's Cricket Association of India and Netball Federation of India, she has received the Udyog Chakra award from the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture.[6]
