Taran Singh is an India entrepreneur and founder & CEO of Melvano: Artificial intelligence based learning platform for entrance exams. He holds his Integrated Bachelors with Masters in Aerospace from IIT Madras. Taran is a recipient of prestigious Sri Chinmay Deodhar Award by IIT-Madras for innovative project. He released  Melvano app on January 2019 for Android Os which has currently 50 thousand users with daily engagement time of 45 minutes.[1]

Early Life & Education[edit]

Taran was born and brought up in Kanpur, Uttar-Pradesh in a modest family. He did his schooling from Kanpur and received an Integrated Bachelors with Masters from IIT-Madras. He gave coaching to students while studying in IIT-Madras, where he started taking interest in teaching and started designing an app called Melvano.[2]

Melvano[edit]

Melvano is an artificial intelligence-based, learning Mobile App developed in 2019 to help students in preparing for the entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advance and NEET.[3] India has around 2.5 million engineering aspirants. Melvano already has 5% market share among the market of digital learning apps.[4]

Awards And Recognition[edit]

Taran Singh was awarded the Shri Chinmay Deodhar award for developing Melvano by IIT Madras for the Innovative Project.[3] He has been featured in Indian news channels like Zee News, Yahoo!, The New Indian Express, Dainik Jagran and many more. He is the winner for Headnxt startup competition 18 at national level.
