K. C. Banerjee
Kiron Chandra Banerjee was an Indian civil servant. He was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honour in India, in 1967, by the Government of India, in the Civil Service category.[1] He served as the General Manager of Rifle Factory Ishapore, that developed and manufactured the 7.62 Self-Loading Automatic Rifle, that played decisive role in India's victory in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.[2][3][4][5]
