KHINESIZ
KHINESIZ (abbreviated knz) is a Colombian alternative metal band formed in March 2016 in Medellín, Antioquia. Its current members are Santiago Henao, Daniel Grisales, Andrés Salgado, Kristian Tangarife and Juanes Ramirez. KHINESIZ is known for its powerful rhythms with minor scales, raw, melodic and enveloping settings for listeners.

The group uses two types of guitar, a bass and drums. Vocalist Santiago Henao incorporates various vocal styles, such as different types of guttural voices and melodic singing. While the lyrics emanate a sound shock for the subject. The band's influences include, among other genres, Heavy metal, groove metal, thrash metal, death metal and core, they are usually included within alternative metal. The beginnings date back to the year 2013. The band underwent many changes in its line-up before the release of its first singles Esclavo and obscura seducción in 2017. Since its inception, the group was made up of two vocalists, in which former member Daniel Gil, composer of "Dioses miserables", who performed vocals and choirs with the current vocalist Santiago Henao, decided not to continue the project for personal reasons. After 2015, Esneider Maya temporarily entered as co-vocalist, composer of the songs "Obsura seducción" and "Pobre come pobre". And in 2016 Alejandra Gómez joined the group to perform melodic voices and choirs, in which she is part of the recording of the two singles "Obscura Seducción" and "Esclavo" as a featured artist.[1]
After the year 2019 KHINESIZ decided to modify its format to a vocalist as a frontman, leaving Santiago Henao in front of the instrumental ensemble in a definitive way. Likewise in 2022
The ensemble is reconfigured for the recording of the Nonverbal Language EP with guttural and melodic vocal support from bassist Juanes Ramírez and guitarist Andrés Salgado

Influences
Among the band's main influences we can name Six Feet Under, Sepultura, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Septic Flesh, Slipknot and Kraken. Groove, thrash metal, death metal, heavy metal and core metal have been their main styles, even flirting with black metal at times.

The lyrics contain a series of contexts expressed as stories characterized by dealing with dualism, human nature, spirituality, esotericism and rebellion.
