KOI-854.01 (also known as K00854.01) is an exoplanet candidate orbiting in the habitable zone around the red dwarf star KOI-854. Depending on the planet's density, it could be an ocean planet, a mini-Neptune, or a super-Earth if terrestrial. It has a temperature of 238.3 K (−34.8 °C; −30.7 °F).[1] The exoplanet has an ESI rating of 0.72.[2] Aside from the now-dubious Gliese 581 g, it has the highest Standard Primary Habitability rating, a measure of how likely it is that vegetation or plant-like organisms have developed in the planet, at 1.00. For comparison, Earth scores a 0.72 on the scale, Kepler-442b a 0.98, Kepler-452b 0.93, and Kepler-438b 0.88.
