K Rino
K Rino (born September 9th, 1970), born Eric Kaiser is an American rapper from Houston.
Biography[edit]
K-Rino began rapping in 1984. 2 years later, with the group Real Chill, he published his first 12”, which was called Rockin’ It. At the time it was released, the rapper visited Sterling High School in South Park, Houston and was living in a dangerous area whose population was 81% African American. After graduation he joined the rap group C.O.D. (Creatures of Destruction), that his school friend, Dope-E, was already in.
The real cornerstone of K-Rino’s career was in 1993 with the release of his debut album, Stories of the Black Book. The record, as described by the critic Wortwitz, was characterized of hardcore rap and deep social criticism.
K-Rino got support at the time of his debut from other members of the South Park Coalition (S.P.C.) (Italics), a local rap group. The primary members of this group are Ganksta N-I-P, Point Blank, and the Terrorists. Along with rappers from the Houston area such as Z-Ro and Trae, a group was created with K-Rino at its center. Because of this, there were many guest features from other members of the group on their solo albums.
By 2002, K-Rino had released four solo albums, and after not finding commercial success with the new South Park Coalition album, titled Personal Vendetta started the record label, Black Book Entertainment
By 2004, the K-Rino had released 14 albums. Despite the high output, K-Rino discusses many differing topics and changes styles between albums.
Meanwhile, the Houstonian had many performances in Europe and worked very closely with many European artists. On April 17, 2007, K-Rino released what many would consider to be his best album, Book Number Seven. This album included native Berlin producer, Keyza Soze along with a few others. In 2008, he released 4 albums. The trilogy, Triple Darkness 1-3, and also The Blood Doctrine, which Keyza Soze also produced. In November 2009, K-Rino released Solitary Confinement, as well as the album designed for the British market, titled Speed of Thought. In 2011, he released the album, Alien Baby.
After many announcements of the continuation of Dope-E and K-Rino’s C.O.D collaboration albums, in 2011 they released a limited second edition album under the name “C.O.D.” The entire album consists of unreleased tracks from 2006. Later in 2011, K-Rino released his second studio album that year, titled The Day of the Storm.
In 2012, K-Rino would return with two studio albums. Inspired by similar deep lyrics on Deeper Elevation, he continued in 2012 with the 17-track album, 80 Minute Eternity. THE MAVEN was K-Rino’s first album release in 2013. Among these 17 songs, one of them is the fifth sequel in the, “Flow Session No…” songs he has released in previous albums. In September 2013, announced his album, The Rapeutic, while at the same time, much to the surprise of his fans, released his album Plantation Rebellion. Beginning January 2014, East Coast Legend, DJ Premier released his list, “The Top 20 Songs of 2013”, and K-Rino’s song, “Antagonistic Radio” (off of The Rapeutic) was at the 12th spot.
