KaHa, is a Singaporean wearable startup,[1] that manufactures smartwears, such as watches, accessories, and apparel[2] and later expanded its portfolio in 2019, when it introduced its E-commerce system.[3] KaHa has a business unit that includes research and software development, serving as an Internet of things platform for connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the Internet.
History
The company was founded by Pawan Gandhi[4] in 2014, as an end-to-end smart wearables and other IoT company, for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the Internet. It has its corporate headquarters located in Central Region. They began operations in Singapore with a research and development department in Shenzhen, and an innovation and research lab in one-north.[5] In February 2015, KaHa expanded its research and development operations to India and launched its business division in 2016 in Delhi.[6] KaHa operates subsidiaries in Asia, and KaHa Technologies is one of these subsidiaries in the Information technology in India, with an authorized capital of Rs 5.0 lakhs, with 20% paid-up capital ("Rs 1.0 lakhs") in the market.[6] In 2018, Pawan spoke with The Economic Times about his partners and unveiled the features of KaHa e-payment.[7]
In 2021, the Middle East North Africa Financial Network; Mena Report and Grand View Research Inc, cited KaHa Pte among other smart wearable startups in its review on the smart sports equipment market outlook of 2020-2027. Its industry analysis includes product types, distribution channels, Covid-19 impacts, and manufacturers.[8] According to Grand View Research Inc, the global smart sports equipment market size is expected to reach USD 4.04 billion by 2027, expanding at a CAGR of 8.1% during the forecast period, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc.
Overview
Cove (also known as "CoveIOT") was established as a brand name of KaHa in 2015. It serves as an end-to-end smart IoT wearable platform to enable smart wearable manufacturing brands to launch their products. In 2004, Pawan Gandhi resigned as the director responsible for P&L at Nokia[9] managing consumer services and sales, and he also resigned as a member of WorldSpace IPO team in 2005. The company took off in 2015, after initial funding of "$500,000" led by Tata Group, to carry out research. In 2017, YourNest, Spring Seeds Capital, and Titan invested $4.5 million in its series A round[10] and raised $6.2 million in its series B funding round, led by ICT Fund[5] in 2019.
Integrations
On 23 April 2020, EasyCare International and IDOC integrated with KaHa to launch remote monitoring medical solutions to control the spread of COVID-19 in Indiana, USA.[11][12] On 8 April 2020, Advanced Remote Monitoring LLC (AARM) and sister company, Advanced Wearables Inc (AWI) announced a 360-degree solution for monitoring and isolating potential COVID-19 cases in California,[13] to reduce the risk to healthcare workers, through continuous remote monitoring devices. It launched a smart wearable "armtrackrCCM+ wristband"[14] to monitor temperature, heart rate, and other metrics, providing real-time data to doctors and/or authorities remotely, including heat maps displaying the spread of the virus in particular areas for quick response. Both detect and reinforce social distancing and quarantine requirements by alerting patients, doctors, or authorities.

On 28 November 2019, KaHa was cited among Singapore startups worth watching[15] by Silicon Republic.
