Kaido Koppel (born 9 May 1988) is a Estonian professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Meistriliiga club Tartu JK Tammeka.
Playing career[edit]
Koppel began his playing career with local side FC Elva as a goalkeeper. In 2011 he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, United States to play for Cincinnati Kings in USL Premier Development League (PDL). In 2012, he moved back to Estonia and joined Meistriliiga team Nõmme Kalju, and the following season he won his first Meistriliiga title.
Managerial career[edit]
He began his coaching career in 2014 at FC Elva that competed in the Esiliiga B, third division in the Estonian football league system and in 2016 he achieved promotion to the Esiliiga. On 29 November 2016, Koppel was appointed head coach at the former club Tartu JK Tammeka that plays in the highest division of the Estonian Football Association system.[1] During his time at Tammeka he has won Meistriliiga Coach of the Month award in numerous occasions.
