Kakamin Najar

Kakamin Mustafa Ameen, known as Kakamin Najar [1] (كامه مين نه جار). The word “Najar” came from the nickname of the family. He was born in 1962 in Erbil. Kakamin Najar, in his political career, started from the bottom and reached the top, the Political Bureau of Kurdistan Democratic Party known as PDK He was the head of 16th Branch (لقى 16 ى پارتى دیموكراتى كوردستان) and then became a member of political bureau[2] and head of Leadership Council of PDK in Erbil. In 1993, He became Deputy Commander-in-Chief in Harir District. Then he became Deputy Commander of Army Force 2 and later became Commander of the same army force. Afterwards, he became commander of Hawler Division and a member of F.L. K (Kurdistan Army Corps). He is still effectively working in Kurdistan Democratic Party.

Family[edit]

His brother, Hussein Badawayi, became a peshmerga in 1962 in First Iraqi–Kurdish War known as Aylul Revolts (Kurdish:  شۆڕشی ئەیلوول) and held the ranks of Company Commander and Head of District. In 1966, he was wounded on Zozik mountain and one of his legs was crippled but continued his struggle.

His other brother, Hassan Najar, became a peshmerga in 1974 and held the rank of Platoon Leader. He was imprisoned twice by Ba'athist regime. After the renowned uprising in 1992, he became Field Artillery Officer. In 1995, he was martyred during the interior war.
