Kan Ma (simplified Chinese: 马侃) is a widely recognized contemporary Chinese designer. He founded Q&T Creative Design Ltd(北京昆腾企业策划有限公司)., Kanai Business Ltd.(侃爱北京商业有限公司). A member of China Design Committee Design Federation, and the prize-winner of Finalist in International Design Excellence Awards, Merit Award from the 3rd Hong Kong Stationary Award, etc.

Profile[edit]

Ma was born in 1975 in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province in Southwest China. His father is a certificated master of industrial arts in China. He was deeply effected by his father, and learned art from childhood. He studied industrial design at Jiangnan University（江南大学, 原名无锡轻工学院）from 1991 to 1995. In 1996, he was accepted to study design Department of Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (中央工艺美术学院) which is now Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University. Upon his graduation from the school, Ma worked as a designer and design director in 4A advertisement companies, until 2001 establish Beijing Q&T Creative Design Co., Ltd (北京昆腾企业策划有限公司). After ten years development, he founded Kanai Business Ltd.(侃爱北京商业有限公司) in order to explore oversea business.
