The company was founded in 2007 by Deepak Sharma[3] and Ravindra Beleyur, alumni of Cranfield School of Management, UK.
Consulting services[edit]
Kanvic provides consulting services focused on strategy, transformation, digital and marketing. The company's work encompasses both strategy development and implementation.
Recruiting[edit]
Kanvic has a rich history of recruiting talent from top Indian and international universities. The company functions on the principle that people are the most important assets for the company and the ability to place talent in the right roles is key for the company. Recruitment to the firm is through its six month traineeship program.[4]
Research and publication[edit]
Since its founding Kanvic has placed strong emphasis on management research and development.
In 2013, Kanvic released their study on the apparel retail industry and its most pressing issues which was featured on Business Standard[5].
The company tracks the fortunes of India's top 1,000 listed firms through its proprietary tool the Kanvic Performance Navigator.[6]
In 2016 Kanvic published a groundbreaking report: “Taking a new ROAD to growth: How India Inc. can prosper in a changed world”. The report developed the 'ROAD' framework for how Indian companies could succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.[7]
The insights from the report were featured in numerous leading publications including Mint[8], BusinessWorld[7], The Economic Times[9] and Business Today[10].
Kanvic also developed the concept of “CEO 3.0” to explain the evolution of the role of the CEO over the last 100 years and the unique demands and expectations placed on them in the 21st Century.[11]

A study that Kanvic conducted on Jaipur Rugs was featured in C.K.Prahalad's best-selling book “The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid”. Jaipur Rugs has received recognition as a pioneering company that is transforming the lives of over 40,000 weavers in India.[13]

In 2010, Kanvic directors Deepak Sharma and Ravindra Beleyur received the Dr. Ram Tarneja Award for The Best Article in Indian Management, an annual award presented by All India Management Association.[14]
