Kaosarah Adeyi is an agricultural entrepreneur, a politician, executive director of ABK Farms, and an author.[1] She is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Youth engagement to Governor of Kwara State Governor.[2] She was one of the eight commissioner nominees forwarded by the governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to the Kwara State House of Assembly for screening.[3][2] She is a representative from Ilorin West.[3]
Early life and education
Kaosarah Adeyi hails from Ojuekun-Sarumi Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.[4] She graduated from the Forestry and Wildlife Department, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, in 2019. She did her National Youth Service in Oyo State, Nigeria.[5]
Career
Kaosarah started her career in politics from the University of Ilorin.[6] She served as the Vice President of the Faculty of Agriculture Students at the University of Ilorin in 2018.[6] In 2018, she also doubled as the Vice President of Nigerian Society for Environmental Conservation, after which she was elected as the Student Union Vice president (VP) in University of Ilorin.[3][5] Recently she was one of the members of the Kwara State Judicial panel of Enquiry on EndSARS protest, Nigeria.[5]
Besides, Kaosarah is the member representing Kwara State on the Northern Governors’ Forum Committee on Youth engagement, Priorities and Inclusion in Government.[5]
First book
Kaosarah Adeyi authored "Of Shades and Of Colours" as her first book "in commemoration of her 24th birthday to chronicle her struggles, fears and victories, while also giving accounts of her stewardship for record purposes."[7] Besides, Kaosarah said her first book was written "to inspire and raise a new generation of change-makers in Nigeria, in particular, and Africa in general."[7]
On 1 October 2020, Kaosarah launched her first book titled "Of Shades and colours" at the state capital Ilorin, Kwara State.[8] The governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, said: “I want to congratulate you on your book and I am very confident that the State government will patronise you by getting many copies of it”[8]
“We will make sure that we introduce it into the state’s Curriculum and make it available for all our visitors in the state”[8]
