Funmi Efuwape
Olufunmilayo Akinyebo-Efuwape,[1] known as Funmi Efuwape, is the commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun State.[2][3][4]
Early life
Efuwape was born in Makun Sagamu in the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.[5][6]
Education
Efuwape attended Ansaru-deen Primary School in Makun Sagamu, the former Remo Secondary School in Sagamu and then Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro where she studied for a Higher National Diploma in accountancy.[5]
Career
Efuwape was once the chairman of Sagamu from 2015 onward, and became the first elected female executive chairman of Sagamu Local Government in Ogun State.[5] She was commended by the National Association of Ogun State Students for her work to develop Ogun State.[7] Also, as commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, the government of Ogun State under her administration banned street begging for the sake of hygiene and sanitizing the market.[8][9] She encourages women to strive in their activities.[10]
